Berkaloa village is located in the north-western part of Kaya Union. According to Google Maps and the maps of the local land office, the Gorai River flows along the northern and western sides of the village, defining its boundary. It is bordered by Radhagram to the east, and Kaya and Ghorai villages to the south. Due to its location in the river basin, the land here is alluvial and highly fertile. The main road runs through the middle of the village, maintaining direct connectivity with Kushtia district town.
Population and Demographics
According to the latest data from the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) and the Union Parishad, the total population of Berkaloa village is approximately 3,420. Of this, the number of males is around 1,750 and females number about 1,670. The male-to-female ratio is roughly 100:95. There are about 780 households in the village. In terms of religious composition, the village is predominantly Muslim, though the minority Hindu community lives here in an exceptionally cordial environment. The population density is moderate, and the settlements have mostly developed parallel to the river.

The literacy rate of Berkaloa village is approximately 61.5%. Berkaloa Government Primary School plays a vital role in spreading primary education.
