In a bid to introduce the visionary leader Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to children in rural Bangladesh, “#TeamSufiFaruq” has launched the “Read Mujib” campaign. This initiative, which began in various educational institutions across Kushtia, has quickly gained popularity through social media, inspiring similar efforts in other parts of the country.

The “Read Mujib” campaign is centred around the graphic novel Mujib, based on the book Unfinished Autobiography, which offers a compelling introduction to the life and legacy of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. This graphic novel, comprising 24 pages, was published by Radwan Mujib Siddiq, the grandson of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, on his 95th birth anniversary through the Centre for Research and Information (CRI) last year. It holds the distinction of being one of the first character-based graphic novels in Bangladesh, making it a significant cultural milestone.

The campaign’s format is both engaging and educational. Children first experience the story through a projected presentation or live storytelling, followed by a quiz that tests their understanding of the narrative. Those who excel in these quizzes are rewarded with copies of the Mujib graphic novel, further encouraging their interest in the nation’s history and its founding leader.

The sessions are known for their lively and interactive atmosphere, thanks to the enthusiastic support of teachers and the eager participation of students. “#TeamSufiFaruq” continues to provide these valuable learning materials as part of their commitment to spreading the message of Bangabandhu.

Most recently, the campaign reached the students of Allardorga High School in Kumarkhali, Kushtia, creating yet another memorable and inspiring experience for young minds.
