ICT Skill Essential: Course Objectives:
This course will enable a professional to perform his day-to-day tasks properly in his information technology-based workplace.

ICT Skill Essential – Syllabus

General Knowledge of Information Technology (1 class of 60 minutes):

– Discuss the aims of this course.
– Introduction to ICT devices. The working and full capabilities of the devices should be introduced. Devices with which familiarity is mandatory are – desktop computer CPU, CD/DVD drive, keyboard, mouse, scanner, monitor, printer, speaker, webcam, WiFi router, smart phone and tab.
– Introduction to different types of connections – USB, VGA, HDMI, Lan Port, Wi-Fi.
– Turning the computer on and off. File cut, copy, paste, delete, use of recycle bin.
– Backup and sync (sync) of necessary documents in Google Drive.
Device security.

Computer Writing (2 60 minute classes):

– Open a new document in any word processor (Writer or Microsoft Word), save, open a saved file.
– Learning to type according to the rules (with both hands without looking).
– Bengali writing with Avro software.
– Use of Cut, Copy, Paste Undo, Redo functions.
– Use of page numbers. Use of Header Footer.
– Formatting documents in word processor.
– Prepare and print documents for print.

Android Device (Phone/Pad) Management (1 class of 60 minutes):

– Reset Android device. Link and sync with Google Account.
Install and uninstall apps.
– Contact list and address book management. Sync with Google Contacts.
– Device backup and restore (including content).
– Mobile internet on/off, package purchase. Connect to WiFi.
– Bengali writing on mobile.

Internet Browsing (1 class of 30 minutes):

– Using internet browser from computer. Introduction to different types of browsers.
– Internet browsing from mobile and introduction of different types of browsers.
– Download and download file management.
– How to get help and news through Sufi Farooq’s website.
– Browsing various news and essential sites. Browsing job sites.

Internet Search (1 class of 30 minutes):

– Search in Bengali and English language on Google.
– Image Search (how to verify images). Video, news and map search.

Email Management (1 class of 40 minutes):

– Open email account (Google).
– Understanding email account settings.
– Writing and sending emails. Understanding the difference between To, CC, BCC. Understanding attachment. – Understand the difference between reply, reply to all and forward.
– Use of email address book.
– Email security.
– Common courtesy (etiquette) regarding email.

Calendar Management (1 class of 15 minutes):

– Use of Google and Outlook calendars from PC and mobile devices.
– Create new events, change place-time and participants.

Social Network Management (2 60 minute classes)

– Every aspect of social networks should be learned separately from computers and mobile devices.
– Facebook account creation and account settings.
– Public, friend only and private posts. Status, photo, album, video upload. General knowledge of activity, checkin and tagging.
– Like, comment, share.
– Group and page management.
– Report on Facebook.
– Security on Facebook.
– Create your own account on LinkedIn, create your own professional profile and learn how to do on LinkedIn everything that is done on Facebook.
– Politeness in social networks.

Notes on class coordination:

– No more than 60 minutes of classes can be given in a day. However, if the class is less than 60 minutes, two classes of 60 minutes can be combined as one class.
– A total of 8 classes must be completed in this course. Then there will be a (9th class) review class where every topic taught in the syllabus will be discussed. The instructor will answer everyone’s questions. Then there will be examination and student feedback in 10th class.

Conditions regarding admission of students:

Every student has to register by filling up the form, photograph, own mobile and the correct mobile number of the guardian.

Conditions regarding course fee:

This course is 100% free for students. This means that no financial transactions can be made in this course. Lab, instructor and other expenses will be borne by Sufi Farooq himself or his organization (through Sufi Welfare Foundation, Gurukul etc.).
